My name is Jennifer Moynihan but please, call me Jenn. In the past 9+ years I have worked in a number of roles in the field of Substance Use as a counselor or case manager including: a 6-month residential half-way house for women, a 40-bed detox men’s unit, a 16-bed clinical stabilization unit (co-ed and men’s), as well as in a 1:1 counseling setting. I work with individuals 18 years or older.
I would also like to emphasize that I understand the specific needs, and dynamics, of military culture and military family life, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. I encourage you to reach out and, together, we’ll find a way for you to move forward in recovery from job-related stress and other ways to cope rather than using substances. Turn post-traumatic stress into post-traumatic growth.
Along with being a licensed and certified alcohol and drug counselor, under which I am licensed for private practice, I am a later-in-life graduate from Simmons University with a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in interpersonal trauma and post-traumatic stress.
